What is your site about?
We offer a wide variety of alcoholic frozen drink recipes and non-alcoholic frozen drink recipes for you to make at home. Each frozen beverage recipe is shown with both alcoholic beverage recipes and non alcoholic beverage recipes placed side by side for easy comparison.
Why are you placing both frozen drink recipes together?
I have learned from personal experience that sometimes you need both frozen recipes simultaneously. For example, It's a hot summer day and I just "need" a daiquiri. Well, I also have children at home. Sure, I could just make the daiquiri for myself, but why not make it into something special? So I look up my favorite frozen beverage recipe, and there it is - a Peach Daiquiri, only it shows the ingredients (virtually the same) for both. Now I follow the alcoholic drink recipe for myself (with real rum), and the non alcoholic drink recipe (with imitation rum) for them, and everyone can cool off together. This creates a special occasion out of an ordinary day. I get to relax a little, and my kids get to feel a little "grown up", at least for the day. It becomes even more fun when my honey comes home, and the kids brag about me making them each a daiquiri, and then I have to explain that yes, I had an alcoholic beverage, while the kids only had a non alcoholic beverage.
Where did you get all of these frozen drink recipes?
Short answer - everywhere I could. I'm inquisitive by nature, and I've travelled a lot. To date I've been to or through 49 US States and 32 countries around the world. Whenever I stop somewhere, I try something new. If it's good, I ask how it's made. You would be surprised how fast you can build up a giant collection of recipies. Since I drive mostly, I also collect a bunch of non alcoholic drink recipes, and of course I have to know the substitutions too. Same thing with food. I haven't counted my cookbooks in a long time, and there are countless bits of index cards and papers floating about all over my place, filled with recipes. I am actually looking forward to finally having my recipes cleaned up and organized in one easy to find place. As a side effect, you get to enjoy all of my frozen drink recipes right now, and much more in time to come.
I can't find "such-and-such" frozen drink recipe here!
Chances are I haven't posted it yet. Try my search page - or any of the search boxes around the site. If there is one that you must have right away, post a question for it on the Frozen Drink Recipe Forum. Within 24 hours, I'll post it there on the forum and here on the website. To make a short answer, yes. As you can see, I already have the links set up on the left side of the page for Mixed Drink Recipes, and Frozen Treats up top (my next project!). There you will soon find a bunch of alcoholic snowcone or shaved ice and popsicle or ice pop recipes. Where possible, I will post up both alcoholic drink recipes and non alcoholic drink recipes together. But with mixed beverage recipies the non alcoholic version does not always turn out "just right". Most of the time they do, but on occasion I will have to leave it out. Cold and frozen beverage recipies work much better. The imitation flavors come out much stronger and better. Plus, you usually only need a little, and making a non alcoholic beverage taste good is quite easy. Usually in frozen ones the alcohol content is so low, you are mostly just using it for flavoring and the alcohol "bite" isn't missed. Where with heavy alcohol content you need that bite, and if it's missing, it doesn't always feel right. But on the other hand, if it only calls for a shot or two of one alcohol, it can usually be made into a non alcoholic drink recipe fairly easily.

The easiest way is to visit my Frozen Drink Recipe Forum, I check it out daily before I start posting new recipes. The Frozen Forum is a great place to meet and greet other people, exchange alcoholic and non alcoholic drink recipes of your own, or just pass the time telling us about your day. As I said, I check it out daily, and you can always expect to get a response from me there. You can also tell me when I have messed up one so badly that a drink recipe is undrinkable. That hasn't happened yet, but it's not out of the realm of possibilities.
When will Frozen Drink Recipes website be complete?
Chances are, never. New recipes are being invented every day. There is no end to the possibilities of flavor combinations available. And with those, they can usually be converted into non alcoholic ones.
